Thomas Hendrix of Hendrix Financial Planning helps DIY investors build and carry out comprehensive financial plans. He believes most people do not need an investment manager or constant oversight, but rather a partner to help create a plan and someone to turn to with questions and updates.
Tom graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and holds an M.S. in finance and an MBA. He comes from a third-generation Army family and served ten years in the Army, including two tours in Iraq, before spending ten years in operations management.
He and his wife reached financial independence in their mid-forties, after plenty of mistakes, but did not quite believe it until a fee-only planner gave them clarity. They left corporate jobs to move closer to family, stay home with their young son and volunteer. Tom wants to help others do it better than they did.
